When do applications open?
Applications for the first cohort open in Q2 2026. The second cohort applications will open in early 2027. Submit the interest form on the Founders page to receive updates when applications launch.
What stage should my startup be at?
We accept startups from pre-seed to seed stage. Your startup should have a clear business idea, ideally with an MVP or early traction. Series A and beyond is out of scope for this programme.
Do I need to be based in Switzerland or Poland?
Yes, your startup must be registered and operating in either Switzerland or Poland. However, you can participate in cross-border activities and benefit from the binational network regardless of your base country.
Can male co-founders apply if the CEO is female?
Yes. The programme requires at least one female co-founder in a CEO or co-CEO role with ≥25% equity and operational decision-making authority. Mixed teams are welcome — the focus is on female leadership, not all-female teams.
Is the programme free?
Yes, the programme is completely free for selected participants. There are no participation fees, equity requirements, or hidden costs. All workshops, mentoring sessions, and platform access are fully funded by the Swiss–Polish Research Programme.
Does the programme take equity in my startup?
No, IDEAS Women does not take any equity in participating startups. This is a publicly funded research and acceleration programme designed to support female entrepreneurs without financial strings attached.
How much time commitment is required?
The accelerator programme runs for 6 months and requires approximately 100+ hours of structured engagement, including workshops, mentoring sessions, and peer learning events.
What industries or sectors do you support?
We support startups across all industries and sectors. Whether you're in tech, healthcare, sustainability, fintech, or any other field, you're welcome to apply. Our support is sector-agnostic.
Will I get access to investors?
Yes, the programme includes 100+ investor introductions through our network and AI-powered matchmaking platform. We organise pitch events, investor meetups, and facilitate warm introductions based on your startup's needs and stage.
Can I access the platform without joining the accelerator?
Yes! The AI-powered platform will be open to all female founders in Switzerland and Poland, even if you're not part of the accelerator cohorts. Platform registration opens in mid-2027.
